How to leave, and how to turn it off.

Turn Steady Phone off

Open Steady Phone, then Settings, then Turn Steady Phone off. Shields come off now. The text list stays. This does not wait 15 minutes.

If the app says the shields are still set, try again before you delete Steady Phone.

Revoke Screen Time

iOS Settings → Screen Time → Apps With Screen Time Access. You can also use the switch on Steady Phone’s page in Settings. Steady Phone cannot open that screen for you, and it cannot stop you from turning the switch off.

Leave early

During an active window, Leave early keeps shields up for 15 minutes, then drops them until the next window. The shield itself does not show a countdown. Open Steady Phone to see the time left.

The text list and the allowlist

The Home Screen widget is a list of names. The apps that stay open are a separate Screen Time selection. Tapping a name opens that app by a public URL, or by a Shortcut you named.

1. Open Shortcuts and tap +.
2. Add Open App, and pick the app.
3. Name the shortcut.
4. Paste that name into Steady Phone. It has to match.
